Born and raised on eastern Long Island, New York, Vincent Carbone's fascination with performance revealed itself early in life. Often imitating a magnitude of characters and films synonymous with the time such as ALF, GHOSTBUSTERS, BACK TO THE FUTURE, and HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS, it was obvious to his parents that their middle child would one day be a performer.
After high school, Vinny attended the State University of New York, College at Brockport where he would continue to discover himself as a performer, as well as develop a passion for theatre administration and directing. It was while studying abroad at Middlesex University in London, that he first attempted stand-up comedy and loved how it differed from the more traditional stages that he was accustomed to.
Upon graduating college in 2010 with a BS in Theatre and a BA in Communications, Vinny was selected for a performance internship at Geva Theatre center in Rochester, NY. Over the next two years he would continue pursuing all acting and directing opportunities that came his way.
In the spring of 2014, Vinny proudly became a licensed New York State emergency medical technician. As a first responder, Vinny has worked on an ambulance serving the boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. He has as also worked as an event medic at numerous concerts, festivals, film shoots as well as at Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden.
In the winter of 2016, Vinny combined his skills as an artistic administrator and passion for engaging audiences when he became the Public Programming and Events Manager at the Morris-Jumel Mansion historic house Museum located in Washington Heights, Manhattan. During his time in this position, Vinny developed various concert series, lectures, exhibition related programming, and directed in-house theatrical productions. It was while working at the morris-jumel that vinny was also able to explore his other lifelong passion... studying claims of paranormal activity.
his time as THE RESIDENT PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR AND LECTURER AT MORRIS-JUMEL has provided Vinny with opportunities such as working with notable figures in the paranormal field, being featured on various media outlets, and lecturing on the topic at Columbia University's Teachers College, the Q.E.D. Learning Space, Historic Richmond Town Museum, and several other locations. As A PROUD CO-DIRECTOR OF GOTHAM PARANORMAL RESEARCH SOCIETY (TAPS FAMILY MEMBER), VINNY IS MOST KNOWN FOR APPROACHING ALL CLAIMS OF THE PARANORMAL WITH A SENSE OF THE UTMOST RESPECT AND DIGNITY WHILE MAINTAINING AN APPROPRIATE SENSE OF HUMOR AND LOGIC. HE WELCOMES EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO FURTHER THE DISCUSSION OF THE UNKNOWN WITH MEMBERS OF ALL COMMUNITIES, ESPECIALLY THE MOST STEADFAST SKEPTIC.
